The Sauce1 (2002)
The Sauce is a practice aid for the Hot Club swing musician or enthusiast - beginner or advanced, guitar or otherwise. Recorded by the grooviest rhythm section this side of Paris after a summer on tour backing such great players as Angelo Debarre, Fapy Lafertin, Bireli Lagrene, John Etheridge and Christian Garrick.
Intended to represent the sound and textural environment of a live on-stage situation. Recorded with no click track (therefore no bpm or metranome markings), and no rehearsed arrangements.
All tracks except for the two ballads have two ryhthm guitar tracks.
"...europes pre-eminent rhythm section in the genre..." John Etheridge
"...The Sauce rocks..!" Joe Townsend
"...Just got your Sauce 1 Cd as a present for fathers day. I love it! Just what us bedroom Djangos need. Can't wait for Sauce 2..." Steve Bell
